Story
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt.
Sadly, my Grandpa (Nick’s Great Grandpa) didn’t recover. He did survive the initial stroke and we saw firsthand just how challenging the everyday tasks we all take for granted became... The subsequent strokes only compounded his debilitation.
We think losing the ability to properly communicate was the most frustrating. Grandpa was a doctor - he was an intelligent, funny and inspiring man. I would have loved to have had just one more proper conversation with him.
We’re raising money for the Stroke Association because it’s so important to improve quality of life for stroke sufferers, so they don’t just survive, but can live.
Please donate if you can, no matter the value - every pound counts.
Thank you - JJ & Nick x
