Story

Jeffrey Long MBE, former Para, is heading out on another epic walking challenge 100km this August in aid of Blood Cancer UK.

Jeffrey aged 92 years this October, will be walking everyday to raise awareness of blood cancer symptoms, so more people can be diagnosed earlier and help to beat blood cancer.

Jeffrey has raised approx. £400k from his previous fundraising challenges since 2007, which is a phenomenal achievement, and is looking to raise further funds for Blood Cancer UK from this challenge, alongside Bowel Cancer UK. Any donations are very greatly received.

For the last 5 years, Jeffrey has been receiving daily chemo for cancer, which he has to continue to undertake for the rest of his life.

Jeffrey is also walking with a back injury he sustained in 1954 hen his parachute malfunctioned and he fell several hundred feet to the ground, severely injuring himself. He now walks with a limp and a walking stick which aggravates his back, restricting how many miles he can achieve per day.

Walking 100km is a huge challenge and any support is greatly received.
