Story
Following John’s diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer in August 2024, and undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy at Bart's hospital, ensuing infections. He passed away on 19th June 2025. He maintained a positive outlook and a sense of humour throughout, charming the nurses and doctors caring for him.
In lieu of floral tributes, we ask that donations be made to CHAPS, an organisation that promotes PSA (prostate-specific antigen) screening.
Founded in 2000, by Professor Chris Booth, a retired Urological Surgeon, CHAPS is a registered charity dedicated to advocacy for men's health in general and prostate cancer in particular to ensure men have the knowledge and resources needed to live longer and healthier lives.
