Story
I’m not a runner. In fact, I’ve never run more than 5km in my life.
So, in a moment of complete madness, I decided it would be a great idea to sign up for the Great North Run. With six months to train, I thought, "How hard can it be?" After all, it’s only a half marathon, not a full one!
Training is going ok and I’m quietly confident that I can make it to the finish line. Once I’ve crossed it, though, I can safely say I never have to do it again!
The challenge will be more than worth it if I can raise money for Dementia UK, Moore Kingston Smith’s charity partner. Even better, every pound donated will be matched by the Moore Kingston Smith Community Foundation, meaning your support will have twice the impact.
Dementia affects one in two of us during our lifetime – whether through caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both. Families affected by dementia are often left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for help.
That’s where Dementia UK comes in. Their specialist dementia nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free expert advice, practical support, and compassionate understanding to anyone affected by dementia, whenever they need it.
Through our partnership with Dementia UK, colleagues across Moore Kingston Smith are committed to raising as much money as possible to help expand access to the life-changing support Admiral Nurses provide.
Together, we can help ensure that nobody has to face dementia alone.
If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small the amount, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for your support.
