Story
In November I will be taking part in one of the biggest challenges of my life - I will be trekking 50km across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. I am doing this with a team of 16 people I don’t yet know, but we share one thing in common, we all want to raise vital funds for the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted.
Not only will this be taking me out of my comfort zone it will also be an enormous challenge both physically and mentally. I will be camping in the desert for 3 nights where day temperatures could reach 40 degrees and drop substantially at night. At this stage I don’t even want to think about what the lack of running water entails. I am funding my own place, so 100% of all donations go straight to the Hospice. This is the reason why I’m doing this….
Over Christmas 2024 Mum spent 2 weeks in Watford General Hospital where we all sadly knew that she would not be well enough to return home. Thankfully the Hospice of St Francis was able to provide Mum with a private room enabling her to be in a place of calm and tranquility that she so deserved for her last few hours.
Any donation, large or small, would mean so much and will help the Hospice of St Francis to continue their incredible work.
I really appreciate your support.
Jo xx
