24 Hour Cycling Challenge is complete and I made it! I wanted to say a heartfelt thanks for all of your donations – your generosity has been incredible. Thank you for each and every penny donated. As it stands at the moment, I’m told the event has raised in excess of £52k so far for Crisis which will make a big difference to those that really need it. Jo

Despite not being a proficient cyclist in any way, I have agreed to join a team of six Birmingham-based colleagues who will be taking part in the Crisis 24 hour Cycle Challenge over 12th and 13th September as I like a challenge and this is for a fantastic cause! The aim is to cycle around the world on static bikes in our hub locations and there are 40 teams taking part at various sites across the UK. Each team is targeted to raise £1,200 and we’re really hoping to raise as much as possible for our charity partner, Crisis, but to do that, I’m hoping you may be able to help.

The challenge takes place from 10am on Thursday 12th September and completes in a big finish at 10am on Friday 13th September. Our team of six will be keeping the wheels turning continuously for the 24-hour period and I have the great pleasure of doing the Friday morning 5am-7am and 8am-10am shifts! I’m sure this will be enormous fun in between two busy days at work(!). If you’re able to support with a donation in any way, your generosity will help keep up my motivation to keep peddling when I’ll no doubt be wondering why I didn’t just leave this to others with far greater capability!

We know Crisis well now and we know why homelessness is such an important problem to tackle. Across Lloyds Banking Group we have raised a lot; I’m hopeful our efforts in mid-September will encourage you to donate a little more and make a difference.
