Story
On 15th December 2023 our son Noah was crossing a road and was hit by a car (no blame here, just an awful accident).
He was badly hurt and needed immediate help.
The Beds and Herts Emergency Critical Care Scheme (BHECCS) were quick to respond and together with Dr’s who were there voluntarily, saved Noah’s life.
Noah was incredibly lucky he had amazing people around him that night but as his parents, in the worst possible moment the Dr who attended to Noah and volunteered that evening, stayed with him throughout all of his CT scans and then sat with us for most of the night explaining what was happening and helping us navigate our way through a night we will never forget.
Never have we been so frightened and so in need of support.
Noah and I want to give back and raise awareness and much needed funds for this incredible team and show our thanks and appreciation for all they did to help Noah and our family.
I will be walking 20 000 steps every day in January to challenge my mind and body and Noah will be joining me for as much as he can. Come rain or shine I’ll be walking the streets and reflecting on just how lucky we have been.
Please help us to raise some funds for the incredible BHECCS
Our family will be forever grateful x
