When I was approaching my late 40’s, I made the decision to have a career change. I have worked at Yeoman Park (Special School) for almost 8 years but 6 of these were behind the desk in admin. I decided I wanted to be in class with the children and am now a Teaching Assistant.

I have always wanted to learn to run too, that took me until I was 50 to start!! My friend “up North”, ran in the Great North Run half marathon in September and suggested I enter the ballot for this years’ run. She did tell me I could walk it if I wanted to! I didn’t think I’d get in but I did… I’ve made the decision to try and run it all & raise money for the children of YPA in the process. Thank you all x
