We are a peer led charity supporting people in recovery from addiction. We aim to reduce the impact on people, families and communities affected by addiction through peer support, visible recovery and challenging stigma. We offer hope & opportunity for a life free of addiction through peer support.

Story

This summer, staff and community members from Recovery Connections are running for Recovery. Taking part in Middlesbrough's 5k race on June 1st and the 10K on August 31st, 2025, the team hopes to raise £1,000 to support crucial recovery groups, meetings, and activities across the region.

Since 2008, the Lived Experience Recovery Organisation has been a beacon of hope for individuals affected by substance use as they journey towards recovery from addiction. Across Middlesbrough, Redcar, Stockton, and several other areas of the North East, the charity envisions a world where everyone can achieve their full potential and live their best life free from stigma and discrimination.

Every year, Recovery Connections supports more than 2,000 people across the region. With over 90% of the charity's staff identifying as being in recovery themselves, we understand firsthand the challenges faced by those we serve. We invite you to join us in this vital mission. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of many who are striving for recovery. Together, let’s run towards a brighter future—please consider donating today.
