Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May I'm attempting to trek the Inca trail in the mountains of Peru at the sprightly age of 72. Walking for 4 days at altitudes of 2200 to 4200 with many steep ascents, I am under no illusions that this will be tough on my body. Due to scoliosis I have always struggled with walking. An arthritic lower spine doesnt make this any easier and the problems I've had with stomach acid in my lungs mean that the altitude may be a problem.

I'm doing this in memory of Matt Hake who was a member of my triathlon club and a really great guy but who succumbed to cancer just before Christmas. Keech Hospice looked after him at the end of his all too short life.
