I'm taking part in the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge, which means I'll be hiking up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan within 24hours...exciting but a bit nerve-wracking too!

This challenge coincides with Foster Care Fortnight 2023, which is a national campaign set up by The Fostering Network, to celebrate all the wonderful foster carers across the UK.

The charity I'm raraising money for is Voices from Care Cymru - a charity that 'exists to improve the lives of care experienced children and young people in Wales by being an independent voice for the care community.' The work they do is incredibly important in improving the lives of children and young people in care. They help these people have a voice, and help guide them onto a better path in life.

Working with Foster Wales has been extremely eye-opening for me. I've learned so much about the Foster care system, the stories of children and carers, and ultimately the urgent need for more foster carers. This challenge is one small way for me to spread awareness and cheer on those that have started their fostering journey.

So please, if you can spare even just the price of a coffee, it all helps (and will give me a huge boost when I'm getting pelted with rain up the mountains - uh oh).
