I am running the Tatton 10K to raise £750 for Music For the Many (https://music4themany.com/), equivalent to 37 free music lessons for primary school children experiencing barriers to music education in Todmorden.

Many of you will know that I run the Olympias Music Foundation (https://www.olympiasmusicfoundation.com), a similar charity which provides free weekly music lessons to children on free-school meals in Manchester. Grassroots music organisations like ours, which embed themselves within the community, are an essential part of the music education ecology in UK and the key to community trust-building. There is so much work to be done, and it cannot be done alone - we are stronger when we work together!

I would be immensely grateful if you would consider supporting Music For the Many, who are a unbelieveably passionate group of individuals doing amazing things for the children of Todmorden, by donating to my 10K fundraiser. From their CBSO (Complete Beginner's Symphony Orchestra) to their Festival of Nasheeds, they are a shining example of an organisation working directly with the community to understand individual pupils' needs and overcome financial, social and disability-related barriers.

I know, from personal experience, what a huge difference even a modest donation can make for a small charity like Music For the Many - all contributions are gratefully received.
