Dementia Adventure thinks differently about dementia. We look at what people can do, not what they can’t. We offer supported holidays and dementia training so people with dementia can get outside, experience the wellbeing benefits of nature and enjoy more active and fulfilled lives.

Story

This is something that's very close to my heart; working alongside those living with dementia I see the difference that our community groups - Singing for the Mind and the Sunflower Cafe make. It gives me joy when I see the light in someone's eye when they recognise a favourite song, perhaps from many years ago!

900,000 people in the UK live with dementia: a diagnosis that often leads to isolation indoors. Dementia Adventure thinks differently about dementia. Our positive focus is on the individual, not the condition. Connection with nature has positive health benefits and can even slow down the progression of dementia symptoms. Through our holidays, training and research, we remove barriers, improve confidence, and increase opportunities for people to stay active, keep connected to family and friends, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives.

The intrepid care team at Right at Home are supporting Dementia Adventure by walking on hot coals in July 2025 not only to conquer fears but to also raise valuable funds to support more adventures for those living with Dementia.

Please would you consider sponsoring me - even the smallest amount will make a difference. Thank you.
