Story
We are raising funds in loving memory of Joan, a much-valued member of the Richings Players committee who sadly passed away in February 2026.
Joan was an extraordinary woman — warm, generous and endlessly supportive. She touched the lives of so many and will be remembered as a true legend within our community.
In her final days, Joan was cared for at Thames Hospice in Maidenhead. The compassion, dignity and support shown to Joan and her family were nothing short of exceptional. Her husband Howard and their family have shared how much this care meant to them during such a difficult time.
To honour Joan’s memory and give back for the care she received, we are raising funds for Thames Valley Hospice. All profits from our May production of Brainstorm and our Centenary Event on 27th June will be donated in her name, and we invite anyone who wishes to join us in supporting this wonderful cause.
Joan had a particular passion for young people and was proud to serve as President of Triple Threat alongside Howard. She was always there to encourage, uplift and champion others — and would no doubt have been first in line to support Brainstorm.
If you are able to contribute, any donation — no matter how small — will help ensure that others continue to receive the same outstanding care and support that meant so much to Joan and her family.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Joan’s life and legacy.
