This month, we're supporting Handcrafted, a North East charity empowering people to transform their lives after facing barriers such as homelessness, poverty, addiction, or the criminal justice system.

With workshops in Durham, Gateshead and Chester-le-Street, Handcrafted offers mentoring, community, and practical skills training — from woodwork and upcycling to cooking, crafts and construction — all within a supportive environment that helps people rebuild confidence, gain independence, and move forward with hope.

By providing both creativity and community, Handcrafted helps people who have been excluded or overlooked to discover their value and unlock their potential.
