Story
Every year I do something a bit ridiculous to raise money for a cause I believe in with my whole heart. This year, as CEO of Child Rescue Nepal, I'm hosting a 24-hour live concert – from 7am on Thursday 18th June to 7am on Friday 19th June – with musicians performing in person in West Wickham and joining remotely from wherever they are in the world.
Child Rescue Nepal rescues children from trafficking and slavery in Nepal. Last year alone we freed over 60 children from truly awful situations – forced labour, exploitation, lives stolen before they'd really begun. In total we've rescued over 1,000 children since we began, and we won't stop until every child in Nepal is free. But rescue is just the start. We support every child back into education, help them reclaim a proper childhood, and walk alongside them all the way into independent adulthood.
We also fight on their behalf beyond the rescue. We campaign, advocate and petition to raise awareness of child trafficking in Nepal, push for stronger laws and work to make sure that the people who do these things to children face real consequences.
Your donation funds all of it – the rescue, the recovery and the fight for justice.
I'll be there for the whole 24 hours. Please sponsor me – and if you'd like to join us for part of the concert, get in touch!
