I’ve done a mad thing and agreed to join a group who are going to swim as part of a relay team for 12 hours, and it’s going to be a challenge! We may not be climbing Everest or running across the Sahara but we are swimming through the night in Jesus Green Pool - it's unheated and 100 yards long!

We’re doing it to raise money for Level Water, an incredible charity that provides 1-to-1 swimming lessons for children with disabilities. Swimming is like nothing else. The skills you develop, the confidence you build and the joys you feel are all universal. Yet access to swimming in the UK is not. With your support, these kids might one day join us in this very event, swimming alongside their friends and family. Every £15 funds a life-changing lesson.

So a night of discomfort, no sleep, swimming in the cold in the middle of the night, being cheered on and supported by our team mates, will all be worth it if we raise money for such a brilliant charity.
