Story
I’m running the London Marathon on 26th April and would like to raise money for White Lodge, a charity that holds a special place in my family’s heart. My sister, Alison, has volunteered with White Lodge for over a decade, and through her I’ve seen the extraordinary impact their support has on children, adults, and families living with a wide range of disabilities. This marathon is my way of honouring her commitment and helping ensure their vital work can continue.
White Lodge provides life changing services, therapies, and respite care that make a real difference to the people they support. They create environments where individuals can develop confidence, build on their strengths, and live fulfilling lives—while also giving families the essential support they need. Their work isn’t just practical; it’s deeply compassionate, helping everyone who walks through their doors feel seen, valued, and included.
What inspires me most is their vision of a world that is inclusive to all, regardless of ability. They celebrate what people can do, foster self belief, and ensure dignity, equity, and compassion for every individual. Their mission—to champion inclusivity, opportunity, and respect for those with disabilities or neurodiversity—isn’t just words; it’s something they live out every day through the services they provide.
White Lodge’s core values—Equity, Nurture, and Advocacy—shape everything they do. They work to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and amplify the voices of those who are too often unheard. By supporting my marathon fundraising, you’ll be helping White Lodge continue to empower people, nurture potential, and create a more inclusive society. Any donation, big or small, will make a real and lasting difference.
Thank you so much for your support. 💙
