Story
On the 19th of February 2017, my dad Richard died after contracting pneumonia and suffering from a brain hemorrhage. His sudden death led doctors to believe that he most likely had MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) or acute myeloid leukemia.
My dad was a very active guy, he loved running and its from him I got my love of swimming. So, in memory of him I am partaking in a sprint triathlon (800m swim, 18.3 km cycle, 4.7 km rum).
I am raising money for a blood cancer charity linc.
Linc is a charity that is there for patients diagnosed with blood cancer and their families. They are committed to delivering information, reassurance and support through a wide range of means. Embedded and working alongside the NHS, they championed by medical world clinical support teams for their forward-thinking care.
Thank you so much for your support!
Love,
Joanna x
