Hi

My name is Joanna Macfarlane and I have now been “Living with Cancer” for over 4 years”.. I recently attended a course at Rainbow Valley and it’s honestly one of the best 2 days I have had not just in the last 4 years but in my adult life!

The courses at Rainbow Valley are so educational and are set out in a format that makes them interesting to people from all walks of life. We know cancer affects everyone so these courses being suitable for just about anyone is a rare find and the team at Rainbow Valley are so inspirational and motivating.

The long term vision for Rainbow Valley is to have a their own centre dedicated to exploring various holistic therapies, traditional and innovative and I want to help them build this dream in any way I can. I can’t tell you how important it can be for people facing cancer to also have these additional types of therapies and educational courses that aren’t always on offer elsewhere, so that they know Life with or after cancer can keep going, and sometimes even become better!

So! On that note I have volunteered to take part in Brave to Wear for Rainbow Valley.. I have seen some big changes to my body over the last few years and had to completely rethink my wardrobe. At times it’s tough to come to terms with the changes cancer can make, but I’ve decided to be Brave!! and get up on that stage… I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me for this event and help to raise money for this amazing charity..
