Fundraising for Children’s Bereavement Keepsakes/ Charlotte's Rooms

Joanna Terry is raising money for Leeds Hospitals Charity

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks · 9 May 2026

We are dedicated to creating calm, supportive spaces within hospitals where families can find comfort during challenging times. We provide compassionate, practical support to families whilst also supporting hospital staff in the vital work they do.

Story

Jo, Rachel, Chris, Archie and William are fundraising together together, to support this amazing cause❤️

Jo is a Senior Sister in one of the amazing Intensive Care Units at the Leeds General Infirmary, and see’s the suffering that many families have to go through when they loose their loved one. We are very limited on how we can support families through this hard time, especially if there are young children left behind. On May 9th, we will be walking the 3 Yorkshire Peaks, along with our amazing gym friends from Connor Hall Fitness gym. We are wanting to raise money to be able to help ease some of their suffering, purchasing some teddy's, children’s bereavement books, and other keepsakes for children and their families, as well as Charlottes Room. Please read the story below:

In October 2023, Charlotte suffered a ruptured aneurysm in her brain at 39 weeks pregnant. Baby Olivia was delivered safely and immediately loved by her sisters Alice and Ada, but Charlotte did not make a recovery. Charlotte passed away 5 days later surrounded by her family.

Charlotte was a loving mum, fiancée, daughter, sister and friend. She will be forever missed.

During Charlotte's short stay on intensive care, the staff not only provided excellent care to Charlotte, but also amazing support to our whole family.

Since losing Charlotte, we continue to raise money for Leeds Hospitals Charity to support families in similar circumstances.

We are dedicated to offering a safe, private environment where visitors can rest, recharge and maintain their well-being. With essentials for comfort, cleanliness and privacy, we ensure that families can focus on what matters most - supporting their loved ones with strength and compassion.
