Better bone health for everybody. We’re proud to be the only UK-wide charity dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. With 40 years of expertise and experience behind us, we are committed to helping keep the nation’s bones stronger for longer.

Story

Riding is in our bones... for people like us who spend their lives around horses, a diagnosis of osteoporosis is frightening and life changing. Half of women over 50 and 1 in 5 men will break a bone due to osteoporosis and everyone needs to know what to do to keep their bones strong! Jo discovered she had osteoporosis when a jump off her horse resulted in a nasty ankle fracture. Had she known more about the condition she might have done more to improve her bone health as she got older. The Royal Osteoporosis Society supports people who are diagnosed and is driving research for the development of new medications and treatments. This is the society's 40th Anniversary and we want to contribute to its future and help raise awareness of osteoporosis and what you can do about it.
