Story
As many of you know I'm a little bit crazy normally but I'm proving it royally this year by training for the Loch Ness Marathon in September
In 2022 a health issue left doctors questioning whether i'd had a stoke or was suffering with MS/MND/Lyme disease and more. I had neither of these thankfully but the fear was real as to what lay ahead for my family and I. After undergoing spinal surgery to the neck to prevent permanent peripheral paralysis I have been unable to take part in my love of rugby, football or running for 3 years and have decided its now time to get my fitness back.
The last 10k I ever ran was back in September 2014 and I've rarely ran more than 5K until 2022. Since January I have been easing back into running and completed my first 10k in 11 years 4 weeks ago, training is getting harder with juggling. family life and work but I'm determined to get to where I need to.
Im asking if you would generously help to motivate me whilst supporting a charity close to my heart. MND is an awful disease with at present no cure. MyName5Doddie is working tirelessly to help fund research in order to hopefully find a cure.
Please even if you can only spare a pound please do so, remembering to tick the gift aid option. It would be much appreciated
I will will posting updates on Facebook and Instagram of my training but please feel free to follow me on Srava and and share my fundraising page with your friends and family
Thanks again
Jo
