Hello everyone. I’ve been putting off writing this post for such a long time as I know it will be incredibly emotional and I’m not really sure where to start…..

Here goes. Most of you will know that in March this year we lost my beautiful sister Kerrie very suddenly. She wasn’t just my sister, she was my best friend, my soul mate, my very insides. The feeling of loss was indescribable and will always be devastating for us all.

In the days that immediatly followed I decided to try to find a positive focus, an outlet for all of the emotions, and that lead me to the next part of this post.

I decided to sign up for a marathon and as fate would have it, La Valette Malta marathon is being held in March 2025, a year on and it felt like the perfect way to celebrate Kerrie’s life And in Malta? Well it had to be done. I’ve also roped in Kerrie’s best friend Rosh and my lovely friend Stella (thank you so much ladies 💜).

Now, one thing you should know about Kerrie though is how much she loved cats, her own Daisy and Patch specifically, but really, all cats. We have both always been crazy cat ladies and proud of it too. And as you know I volunteer for Coventry Cat Group so I decided to do this marathon as a fundraiser for this wonderful charity, I know Kerrie would approve wholeheartedly.

Coventry Cat Group are a small non profit organisation run entirely by volunteers, working tirelessly to help and care for abandoned and stray cats in and around the Coventry area. If anyone would like to donate to my fundraiser you can do so via this link
