Joanne 's fundraiser for CCLG

Great North Run 2025 · 7 September 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
I am doing the Great North Run in honor of my Nephew Milo. 💙
Milo tragically passed away on 26th November 2024 from Wilms Tumour, a type of Kidney cancer. He was only 2.5 years old.
Milo was a force of nature, absolutely bursting with life, joy, love and laughter. His favourite things were his Mummy ( my beautiful Sister Sam and Aleyna’s Aunty ) and Daddy ( Uncle Stawberry ) , dinosaurs, swings, aeroplanes, helicopters, trains, berries and chocolate.
I will be running to raise money for Children's Cancer and Leukemia group who fund vital research into childhood cancers to cure as many children as possible with kinder treatments so there are less short and long-term side effects.
Even though Cancer is the biggest killer in children aged one to 14 in the UK and rates are growing, funding into childhood cancer is tiny compared to adult cancer (only 2%).
Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children's cancer charity and the UK and Ireland's professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer.
Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. We bring together professionals to ensure all children receive the best possible treatment and care. We support young patients and their families with our award winning, expert information. We fund and support research into childhood cancers.
Please please support and help me get my non running legs through 13.5 miles for Milo
