Story
A wonderful tribute to Jenny Wheeler and a fantastic way of raising money for the Bedfordshire MND group in her memory. Cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats is a significant challenge for Jenny's husband Pat's friends Ray, Martin, James, Mark & Duncan and their efforts will make a real difference. Its an inspiring way to honour Jenny's memory and support a worthy cause.
Pats Story:
Jenny's husband Pats words - I have been so fortunate to have shared my life with Jenny she has touched my heart every day of our lives together.
Jenny was a person of extraordinary kindness, gentleness, bravery, perceptiveness, and intelligence. She had an innate ability to forgive, and her beauty was both inside and out. She was loving, sexy, feisty at times, and extremely passionate. Jenny was a champion of the underdog and always reached out to those in need. Throughout her life, she never lost a friend, welcoming everyone she met into her circle with open arms.
Her bright, beautiful eyes and enchanting smile were the beacons of friendship. We shared a mutual love for music and spent countless hours at her cherished Wood House, talking and singing into the early hours of the morning, sometimes until sunrise. Travel was another of our passions, but Jenny's favourite place was always Norfolk. She adored staying in Blakeney and revelled in the beauty of walking to Wells. The expansive skies, the vibrant colour's of the salt marshes, and our picnics in her favourite spots were moments she cherished deeply. Exploring the long, whispering grasses was one of her simple joys.
Jenny's love for her friends was unwavering and passionate, and they loved her in return. Her deep love for her family knew no bounds. The birth of our children, Clare and Paul, brought her immense joy, and motherhood came naturally to her. She spent the rest of her life providing for, protecting, and nurturing her family. For 36 years at Wood House, she made our home a welcoming haven for all, and she was a wonderful host.
Her adoration for Leanne and her three grandchildren, Edward, Gabriella, and Oliver, was immense. They were her angels. Jenny fought bravely and tirelessly against MND, enduring the loss of mobility and the inability to perform simple actions like coughing, sneezing, scratching, swallowing, and speaking. Even in her quiet whispers, which still haunt me today, she showed her strength and love, saying, "Hold my hand, sweetheart, no more pineapple juice."
Jenny passed away peacefully some hours later, leaving us with the memory of her beautiful soul.
Our beautiful Jenny, you will forever be in our hearts.
