BMO fundraiser for FARMS FOR CITY CHILDREN

Joanne Gates is raising money for FARMS FOR CITY CHILDREN

Lloyds of London Abseil · 10 July 2025

Founded in 1976 by children’s author Michael Morpurgo and his wife Clare, our three farms welcome 3000 children and young people each year. As a registered charity we believe every young person, regardless of background, deserves an opportunity to take home the benefits of being farmers for a week.

Story

On Thursday, 10 July a team of 10 fearless BMO employees will take part in a charity abseil off of the Lloyds of London Building to raise money for the charity Farms for City Children.

Farms for City Children exists to remove the barriers that prevent children and young people having meaningful access to the natural world. By being a farmer for a week, children experience the physical and mental health benefits of being in the countryside and they grow in courage, compassion and curiosity. Your support will enable a class of Year 6 students from Prior Weston primary school, to visit a farm in Devon or Gloucester for the week strengthening their connections to food, farming and nature.

Thank you.
