Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We will be taking part in the Walk Of Hope on the 30th September 2023. Meeting at Paignton pier at 10.15 to start our walk at 10.30. We will then be walking along the main road to Torquay Harbour stopping for a refreshment break and will then head back to Paignton approximately 5.5 miles (8.8km)

Our daughter Leah was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 2 years old and having undergone several operations and 2 years of intensive life changing high dose chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, Leah has now been cancer free for seven years but she has been left with long term side effects from mobility issues, learning difficulties and hearing loss. Leah continues to smile her way through most of her days while learning how to cope with her disabilities.

We are hoping that one day we will find a cure so that no more children will have to go through what Leah has.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!

We are fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
