I’m raising funds for In Charley’s Memory once again this year.

In Charley’s Memory is a local Somerset charity providing one-to-one counselling for people aged 11 and over. The charity receives no NHS funding and relies on fundraising to continue supporting those who need it most.

I believe in this charity wholeheartedly. I’ve experienced their support first-hand, and I’ve also seen the difference they have made to some of the young people I work with. Their commitment to the wellbeing of every person they support is extraordinary, and I want to do my bit to help ensure that this invaluable service continues to be available for years to come.

Fifteen weeks ago, I laced up my running shoes again. Last year I completed the Burnham Half Marathon and just about made it over the finish line. This year, I’m fitter, stronger and feeling more determined than I have in years.

Unfortunately, JustGiving only allows me to add one event, but I’ll be wearing my In Charley’s Memory vest and fundraising across all of the following races:

* Bridgwater Half Marathon – 6 September 2026

Burnham on sea half marathon - 13th September 2026

* Cardiff Half Marathon – 4 October 2026

* Taunton Half Marathon – 28 February 2027 (what better way to spend the morning of my 50th birthday.

Newport marathon - 18th of April. This feels very significant in my 50th year.

Every donation no matter how big or small, will help this incredible charity continue supporting people when they need it most. Thank you so much
