Story
I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting the team at St Nic's this year when my Dad's illness worsened. From the moment we were introduced to team we felt supported and knew we were in safe hands. At a time when we were at our most frightened and vulnerable, the staff at St Nic's took the lead and arranged him a bed at the hospice. We did not know how poorly he truly was and the team supported us through that realisation and gave him first class care for those final hours. Dad sadly passed away at the hospice but we take comfort in knowing it was dignified and that he was in a truly caring environment where we could be with him (even the dog was there!!).
By participating and raising funds, we support this amazing organisation to continue to provide much needed care and services across our community.
The whole team do invaluable work, caring for people at the hospice and out in the community wherever they call home, but to enable them to do this, we need to raise funds. The work the people at St Nic's do is truly humbling and inspiring and long may it continue.
