Story
Running the London Marathon has been a personal goal of mine for many years and when the opportunity came up to have a place and support my good friend and the charity she works really closely with I jumped at the chance!
A bit of back story, Allie was diagnosed with a condition called Macular Dystrophy, a rare genetic eye disorder, in her late teens. The condition causes a progressive deterioration in the central vision and consequently Allie can now only see in her peripheral. Currently there is no treatment for the condition but, through LOOK Allie is part of a clinical study looking into possible stem cell treatment. Her goal is to be able to drive again and read with her son.
