Story
Hi All,
As most of you know i do a charity walk each year to raise vital funds.
This year I am taking part in something VERY close to my heart 💔
You will know my Mom passed away on the 13th October 2024. In her last days she was cared for by the amazing staff at Sue Ryder, Manorlands Hospice.
The night before she passed away, this walk took place & i vowed to my mom that next year I would take part.
I'm not one to break a promise.
I'm doing a 10k walk which finishes at the hospice. A place I haven't visited since I kissed my mom goodnight 💔
The only thing that will get me through this walk is knowing I'm keeping my promise & raising as much money as I possibly can.
The staff at Manorlands are true angels & anything i can give back would mean the world to me, them & future patients.
Please give whatever you can. Thank you so much xxx
Sue Ryder Starlight Hike is a series of 5k or 10k walks this October. They provide an opportunity to get together with family and friends under the stars to celebrate the life of someone special and help ensure no one faces death or grief alone.
Every year our Sue Ryder Nurses and bereavement professionals provide care and support to thousands of people facing their darkest days. But we can't do it without you.
Through sponsorship, you can help make every step count towards compassionate and expert end-of-life care and grief support for families in need.
£6 could pay for favourite breakfast for a patient being cared for in one of our hospices.
£30 could fund an hour of expert care, so our Sue Ryder doctors and nurses can help manage patients’ pain and symptoms.
£75 could help provide a vital Online Bereavement Counselling Service for someone who needs reassurance guidance and support.
