Story

In the lead up to my 50th birthday, I'm taking on a truly epic challenge to support a charity I’ve proudly supported for many years — Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.

On Saturday, 2nd August, I’ll be setting off from the hospice in Maidenhead, Berkshire, and pedalling nearly 120 miles all the way to my workshop in Street, Somerset — on a vintage-style tricycle!

Over the course of four days, I’ll not only be riding for this incredible cause, but also creating unique signs along the way. These handmade signs will be auctioned off once I complete the journey, with all proceeds going directly to Alexander Devine.

Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service is a charity that provides valuable care, support and respite for local children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and East Hampshire. The charity provides respite care and support in the community and at their purpose-built children’s hospice in Maidenhead. They also provide specialist play, music therapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, counselling, family and bereavement support.

This year, the charity needs to raise £3.4 million to keep the hospice service running and 85% of the income they need to raise will come from fundraising, donations and gifts in Wills. Every donation will make such a difference to the lives of local children and their families.

Your support means the world — whether it's cheering me on, spreading the word, or making a donation. Together, we can make a difference for the children and families supported by this amazing charity.
