Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the age of 26 and only 3 months into married life, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in January 2022. This was a massive shock to us all as i never thought this would happen to me.
I had to take on board 12 rounds of chemotherapy (the longest 6 months ever) and luckily in September 2022 i received the best news that i am now cancer free!
My cancer journey is still on going with regular checks ups. Even though i am in remission the fear of it coming back never leaves you.
This year i have the privilege of being chosen to take part in Courage on the Catwalk for Friends of Anchor. As many of you know Friends of Anchor is a charity very close to my heart, even before i was diagnosed. The charity helps support people with a haematology or cancer diagnosis in the North East of Scotland. Which i’m sure we all know of someone who has been supported by Friends of Anchor. I am so lucky i get to share my experience on the catwalk with 23 inspirational women who have all been through a cancer diagnosis. This will be out the comfort zone but i’m sure a few vodkas will help ease the nerves!
Myself and my husband Andrew are big supporters of Friends of Anchor as in previous years we donated money to the charity for several occasions such as wedding favours for our wedding back in 2021, christmas card donations, our successful ladies day back in November 2022, Andrew along side Banff fire station for their donation from their Santa fire engine.
Regardless if your donation is big or small it will go a long way! ⚓️❤️
