Story

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” Helen Keller

Let's introduce ourselves, we are Lucy and Jodie, who both work at St Michael's Hospice.

Lucy.. I have worked for St Michael's for 9 years within the community services, hospice @ home and I am currently completing a counselling degree. I am a Mum to 4 children, I enjoy keeping fit by going to the gym and doing yoga, and love I nothing more than being upside down on my head, I am a big Liverpool fc fan and love going with my dad to watch them play.. YNWA.....

Jodie..I have worked at the hospice @ home for 7 years now, within the community services and I am currently completing my nursing degree. I am a Mum to 2 girls and 2 step-children, I enjoy going to the gym and running, a nice cup of tea and being in my dressing gown!

We both attended high school together, but our friendship took off at work. We are always there for each other when things get tough, and our coffee catch-up with friends are legendary; you can hear us laughing for miles.

We have been enjoying volunteering at Lees Place in Hereford, serving food to the homeless, this has brought us closer together and make us even more excited about doing the great wall of China together!!

This will be a huge challenge for us both, leaving their families for 9 days, but we know how important it is to raise vital funds for St Michael's Hospice from a personal and professional level. We have both lost loved ones who received amazing care from the staff at St Michael's Hospice (Hospice @ Home and on the ward). We know how much St Michael's will benefit from the money we raise. Herefordshire is very Lucky to have such an amazing place. Seeing how much the patients and their loved ones benefit from the hospice gives us all the motivation we need to get us through this challenge.

We have lots of exciting events planned and would love all your support in helping us raise money for St Michael's, some of your sponsorship money will be used to pay for the cost of the trip. Attending our events, donating prizes, and sharing fundraising ideas will have a massive impact on us meeting our goal!

We can't thank you all enough for your support so far and continued support, we know with all of your support we can achieve our goal.

Please if you would like to donate, do...
