IRONMAN Weymouth 70.3 · 17 September 2023

Our son died in 2019 of a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia. We decided to set up this charity to help families with sick children. Primarily but not exclusively in Dorchester ‘Kingfisher ward’ & kings College London ‘Rays of Sunshine ward’ to provide welfare packages and raise awareness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Leo’s Lions is a charity that is raising money to provide welfare packages to families with sick children in hospital. Primarily but not exclusively to the king Fisher ward in Dorchester, and the Rays of Sunshine ward at Kings College London. The welfare packages will have a teddy, phone charger, deodorant, shower gel etc. Basic things you need when you have ended up in hospital in an emergency situation.

Sadly the charity was created when Justina and Victor’s little boy died of a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia at 9 and a half months. They want this charity to raise awareness of this childhood liver disease which is not genetic and there are no reasons as to why a child would have it. If you would like to know more follow their FB page @Leo’s Lions, or instagram page @leoslionscharity.
