Story
In memory of our Dad and Grandad
On Christmas Eve 2025 my dad took his own life without any warning and with no history of mental health issues.
As a family we have struggled to navigate this and to understand but with the help of Mind we are starting to make sense out of something so senseless.
Mind is a fantastic mental health charity who do so much for so many people. Not just in crisis but bereavement support and they help to provide SEMH support in schools for children across the country.
As a family we are trying to raise as much money and raise awareness for such a brilliant cause who have been there to support us all.
No one should ever feel like taking their own life is the only option left. No one should ever have to go through what we have all been through in the last two months and what will we continue to go through.
Harry, Tommy, Jack, Chris, myself & other members of our family will be taking on 100 miles in March for Mind — and every step is for someone who feels they’ve run out of options.
Right now, Mind’s phone lines are the busiest they’ve ever been. In the UK 1 in 4 of us will face a mental health problem this year, yet too many still wait in silence. Mind is often their only lifeline — on the phone, in local communities, and fighting for change so no one is left behind.
Please support my 100 miles in March challenge by donating to my fundraising page 🙏🏻
Your donation will ensure that information and support is available for everyone — on Mind's website, the helplines they run and throughout their online community, Side by Side.
Thank you 💙
