Story
Mental health affects us all. After a difficult year filled with challenges, loss, and seeing people I care about struggle, somehow running a marathon seemed like a good idea… or at least a good distraction.
That’s why I’m raising money for Brecon Mind.
The helpless grief after losing Pete pushed me to a “f*** it” moment that convinced me to sign up to York Marathon on 18th October.
I’m running this marathon in memory of those that I’ve lost and for all of my friends, family and colleagues living with the loss of someone they love. Also those who have suffered with their mental health - those who are struggling now, or who may face those challenges in the future.
Mental health affects every one of us in different ways. No matter how low things feel, there is always someone to talk to, and things can get better.
If you’re able to, please donate whatever you can to support Brecon Mind. They do incredible work and make a real difference to people when they need it most.
