St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

This year, my work Enact are fundraising for our chosen Charity, St Gemma's hospice and have decided to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. I was initially flooded with the memories of when I previously did this for Wilkos (R.I.P) and couldn't walk for a week, so I obviously said "No thank you". However after mentioning this to Gareth, he seemed really keen on the challenge and had been wanting to do it for a while, so somehow I've been dragged into this again!

We’re doing all of this for St. Gemma’s Hospice, an incredible place that provides compassionate end-of-life care to those who need it most. Their work is truly inspiring — and if us dragging ourselves up three big hills can raise some money to help them keep doing it, then so be it. The goal is to try to raise £400 each however every penny does count, if we get anywhere even close to that it will be an amazing effort.

Please dig deep and sponsor us – not just because it’s for a genuinely fantastic cause, but because this might be the most exercise we do all decade. Every penny you donate will support St. Gemma’s, and every penny will also slightly soften the blow when we’re crying into our walking socks halfway up Ingleborough.

Thanks in advance!

Joe
