Story
Boom. It’s go time.
On 12th April, I’m running the Paris Marathon to raise money for CALM.
I’m aiming for a sub-4 hour marathon, which means knocking 24 minutes off my current PB. That’s a big jump. It’s going to hurt. And I’m going for it anyway.
I’m running for a genuinely brilliant cause. CALM is a mental health charity that does life-saving work.
Every day in the UK, 18 people die by suicide.
One in five of us will experience suicidal thoughts at some point in our lives.
These aren’t abstract statistics.
They are our mums and dads, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, partners and friends.
CALM’s mission is simple and powerful:
To make sure nobody feels like suicide is their only option.
The money raised goes directly towards funding CALM’s helpline, which receives around 28,000 calls every month.
Donations help keep trained listeners available day and night, make sure people are answered when they reach out, and support CALM’s wider work in suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
Any donation, big or small, will genuinely make a difference and is hugely appreciated.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting CALM, and helping people end their misery, not their lives.
