In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause.
July 2023 close friends of ours, Holly & Lee, lives changed forever, when they lost baby Albie who was tragically born stillborn at 39 weeks.
Baby Albie was placed in a cold cot, which allowed Holly & Lee to spend valuable time they needed to make memories with Albie and allow their 2 young girls to meet their baby brother, prior saying goodbye.
I could not imagine the grief they went through as parents, whilst also supporting their 2 young girls at the same time. However, the strength and courage they have displayed as a family is amazing, and they were determined to support others trying to come to terms with the unimaginable.
This is when they came across the charity Abigail's Footsteps, which supports other families going through the same grief. Holly & Lee began organising numerous fundraising events and have a raised a remarkable £20,000 in the last 2 years, which has enabled them to purchase 7 cold cots donating them to hospitals around the country.
I am honoured to be running alongside Lee, in memory of Albie, which is my first half marathon, and I’m determined to raise as much money as I can to support them and reach their goal of purchasing their 8th cot.
