My partners dad, Colin, and I had the idea while on holiday last September that we would cycle a coast to coast in a day. We set a date, put it in the calendar, and forgot about it. Fast forward a few months and that date is creeping up on us.

We have chosen a route that will take us from Whitehaven on the west coast of England over to Tynemouth on the east. The route is roughly 230km with 3000m of elevation. It’s going to be a long day on the bike and safe to say I will have a sore arse by the end of it!
