Story
From 2nd to 31st January I’m walking 20,000 steps a day to raise money for Mind, a charity that supports mental health. As of end of day 17 I’m on track to have covered over 294 miles – which is equivalent to over 11 marathons in 30 days.
Like many of us, I’ve faced my own mental health challenges, which is why I’m so passionate about supporting this cause. Mental health affects us all in different ways, and yet it often doesn’t get the attention it truly deserves, especially when it comes to funding and support.
Didn’t want to post this in the early days as this was an absolute killer and I severely underestimated how hard this was going to be but now I’ve battled through the inevitable injuries so confident I can get the job done. Posting some stats below to show progress that I’ll try to update!
Steps
Daily average - 21,142
Total so far - 359,409
Forecasted total - 634,251

Total so far - 268km / 168 miles
Forecasted total - 473km / 294 miles
Marathons

Forecasted total - 11.2
By walking, I hope to raise both awareness and much-needed funds to help Mind continue their vital work. The NHS’s mental health services are underfunded, and too many people fall through the cracks. So, if you can spare a little, your donation could help make a huge difference in someone’s life. Let’s keep the conversation going, take a step towards change, and show that mental health matters. Thank you for your support in either donating or sharing this page.
