I'm doing the Kiltwalk alongside my colleagues from Linn in aid of Music in Hospitals & Care.

Music makes life better – and in many ways. It has been proven in peer-reviewed studies that it can improve recovery rates, reduce stress, and promote healing, besides of course improving mood.

Music in Hospitals & Care is a charity that seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of adults and children through music.

Every year, their professional musicians share live music with patients across the UK who may not otherwise get to experience it. This includes those living with poor mental health, dementia, and other life-threatening conditions.

Live music has the unmatched power to stir up every emotion under the sun: love, loss, ecstasy, nostalgia, empathy (etc.)... and fosters the vital human experience of communal activity.
