I’m running the London Marathon, in memory of Mum

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
My amazing Mum, Julie sadly passed away in October 2023 from Pancreatic Cancer. So I am running in her memory. Anyone that knows me will know that running a marathon will not be my idea of fun but I’m sure running for Mum will get me through it!
Mum battled cancer far too many times in her life and for the last 4 years battled day in day out with various health problems including Lung Cancer, Pancreatitis and Pancreatic Cancer.
I am choosing to run in Mums memory for Princess Alice Hospice. Mum didn’t make it to the hospice sadly as there wasn’t enough space for her and unfortunately her condition worsened rapidly towards the end of her life. However we know it would have made a huge difference to her and us as a family.
Princess Alice Hospice provides a comprehensive range of services that respond to the individual needs of patients and their families, so that they can live life to the full, create memories, share special moments and when the time comes, support them through, before and after the death of a loved one.
It costs over £10 million each year to provide free, high quality specialist end of life care to tens of thousands of people with life threatening illnesses. We rely on wonderful supporters like you to help us to generate thousands of pounds through participating in events like TSC London Marathon.
Thanks so much for taking the time to have a read of this and I would be so grateful for any donations.
