We’re Trekking the West Highland Way for Rylee
Because she climbs mountains every single day.
We’re Joe and Beth Sweeney, and this summer, we’re lacing up our boots and trekking 96 miles across the West Highland Way in Scotland in honor of our incredible niece, Rylee Sweeney.
Rylee lives with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) a progressive neurological disorder that affects her strength, balance, and ability to move with ease. While many may not have heard of CMT, we’ve watched it shape her everyday life in countless ways: slowing her steps, challenging her independence, and requiring more grit than most people will ever have to show.
And yet, she faces it all with courage, humor, and an unshakable spirit.
So now, we’re walking for her.
As we take on this journey through the Scottish Highlands, we’re doing it to raise awareness and funds for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA) the leading organization fueling research, offering support, and fighting for a future free from CMT.
There is no cure yet. But together, we can change that.
Please consider supporting our trek for Rylee. Your donation will help fund life-changing research, support families like ours, and give hope to the 3 million people worldwide living with CMT.
Every mile we walk is for her and with your help, we’ll go even farther.
PS—Please help us spread the word, share this fundraiser on your social media and help us reach those who can help!
With heartfelt thanks,
Uncle Joe & Aunt Beth Sweeney
