This year I'm running the London Marathon for Age UK Lewisham & Southwark.

In Lewisham and Southwark, 2 in 5 older people live alone. In later life, loneliness can take a toll on confidence, wellbeing, and health, often leading to social isolation.

It’s essential that older people have opportunities to socialise and receive support for any needs they may have.

Age UK Lewisham & Southwark offers a wide range of activities, including Zumba, Joyful Voices, and swimming sessions, as well as housing advice and dementia care, all completely free of charge.

These programs play a vital role in helping older people stay active, engaged, and connected with their communities.
