We help working-age stroke survivors and their families in the UK to reclaim their lives through active peer support.

Story

Hello everyone!

I’m excited to share that I’ll be running the Brighton Marathon this year with my brother-in-law James. I’ve been training hard and am passionate about making a difference through my running. I’m raising funds for Different Strokes which help younger stroke survivors and their families in the UK to reclaim their lives through active peer support.

This charity is really important to me as my sister Hannah is a stroke survivor and my Grandad also suffered two strokes. Please see my sisters story below.

Every year 100,000 people in the Uk have a stroke and a 1/4 of these people are under the age of 65. That's 25,000 younger people whose lives are changed in an instant.

A stroke is also the single biggest cause of disability in the UK, but it's not always the visible disabilities that stroke survivors have to contend with, debilitating fatigue, cognitive problems and personality changes can also be a lifelong challenge.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help support Different Strokes. Your contribution will not only motivate me to cross the finish line but also bring hope and support to those in need.

Thank you for your generosity and encouragement! Together, we can make a positive impact!
