I was lucky enough to get a ballot place in the 2024 London Marathon but decided to give back to a charity called House of Light that helped my wife Ellie when she needed it the most.

After the birth of our son Sid, our life almost felt complete. We had everything we had dreamt of and began life as a family of 3 (and our dog Ernie!).

We lived in our own bubble for the first few months until I noticed Ellie was struggling. I kind of knew her traumatic birth would revisit her along the line and I felt this was it. The bad days outweighed the good and each day was an uphill battle. Without going into too much detail, we sat down after a couple of months and Ellie admitted she needed a bit of extra support which I can imagine must of been very hard!

I contacted House of Light that day and managed to get Ellie an appointment the following week. It took a couple of weeks for Ellie to open up to the team at House Of Light but week by week she would come home with a weight lifted off her shoulders and soon enough those good days out weighed the bad again!

We are truly grateful for the support House of Light showed and I hope we can raise some money for them to be able to continue supporting others in need!
