Story
Over the past year, I've been massively inspired by Russ Cook (Hardest Geezer) who is currently running the length of Africa for The Running Charity & William Goodge who this year ran the width of the USA in aid of American Cancer Society & Macmillan Cancer Support after the loss of his mother Amanda in 2018.
By the time William Goodge complete his run across the USA in May, I had set in my mind that I wanted to carve out my own challenge which would benefit Smurfit Kappa UK's chosen charity, the brilliant Claire House Children's Hospice.
I'm hoping to run 5 Marathons in 11 weeks:
Barcelona - 10th March
Rome - 17th March
Paris - 7th April
Manchester - 14th April
Leeds - 12th May
In April 2023, I dribbled over the line of the Manchester Marathon after completing 5 or so 1/2 Marathons to date.
As a 15 stone man, completing the races next year will not be an easy task!
I will be absolutely blowing for 131 race miles, as well as the countless hours in preparation. I would massively appreciate any donations to spur me on, fill me with horrendous anxiety & support this amazing charity.
Joe
